Garbage and Recycling

The Town of Sharon has a signed contract with Harter's Fox Valley Disposal for pickup of our garbage and recyclables. The contract will provide two 95 gallon containers for each resident. One to be used for garbage and one to be used for recyclables. Harter's is responsible for maintaining any damaged carts caused by normal wear and tear. If you relocate, these carts are to remain with the property.

Harter's will pickup garbage EVERY Friday and recyclables are picked up EVERY OTHER Friday, except when a holiday falls on a week day. This would change pick up to Saturday of that week.

Please place your garbage and recyclable carts curbside/end of driveway no later than 5 AM on scheduled pickup day to guarantee pickup.

Large household items will be collected every other Thursday at the expense of the resident. Call Harter's to schedule pickup and for pricing. 715-253-2619 or 888-804-8556.

Burning Permits

Burning permits are required until the ground is completely snow covered. Burning permits are free and easy to obtain. Call 1-888-WIS-BURN or get your annual permit at the DNR website. The permit is valid for the current calendar year and must be obtained each year.
